2007 Best Companies to Work for in Texas

Coppell, TX (February 1, 2007) Pegasus Logistics Group was recently named as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Texas. This second annual program was created by the publishers of TEXAS MONTHLY, the Texas Association of Business (TAB), the Texas State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management (TSC-SHRM), and Best Companies Group.

2007 Best Companies to Work for in Texas

This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in Texas, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. Sixty companies in the state of Texas have been recognized this year, including Pegasus Logistics Group.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business;
  • Be a publicly or privately held business;
  • Have a facility in Texas;
  • Have at least 25 employees in Texas.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Companies to Work for in Texas. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Texas with assistance from ModernThink LLC, who analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.

The actual rankings will be published in a special advertorial section in the February 2007 issue of TEXAS MONTHLY and the ranked companies will be recognized at a gala awards luncheon on January 31st at the Capitol Marriott in Austin.
